Ministry with Women

Saint Luke UMC understands the importance of offering a variety of ministry opportunities for women in the church and in the community. Women provide strong and vital leadership in the life of the church. Here at Saint Luke we continue to seek new ways to support women of all ages. For more information on our ministries with women please contact Rev. Charlotte Brendel at 919-776-2012.

Women's Events and Retreats Committee plans special programs and activities with women in our church and community. Women enjoyed the Café Chocolate Day Apart Retreat, sharing lots of yummy chocolate while learning more about the miracles of Jesus. At our Vintage Christmas event, over 200 women gathered for a delicious dinner, enjoyed a seasonal Christmas program, and a special Christmas devotion. The Magic of Christmas event will be held December 12, 2024.

United Women In Faith have several Circles that meet regularly to plan mission activities and other ministry opportunities. Every December our United Women in Faith partner with our United Methodist Men for a church-wide Christmas dinner. Click here for more information.

Marigold and Rose Ministry is a mentoring ministry with young women and "seasoned" women, with a focus on building deeper relationships. Young women are paired with older women and meet for conversation, sometimes during lunch. The entire group enjoys quarterly gatherings with special programs, fun, fellowship, and refreshments.

Ladies Lunch and Learn meets Wednesdays in July at 11:30 at Davison's Restaurant to enjoy a meal, fellowship, and a devotion. During the school year, Ladies Lunch and Learn meets monthly. Women do not need to be a member of the church. Women are encouraged to bring friends.
